Self-guided tours with cell phone tour option
The Old State House Museum offers a variety of ways for visitors to experience Arkansas history. You can take a guided tour or you can wander through the museum at your own pace with a self-guided tour map or cell phone tour guide, or you can schedule a group tour. We also offer a variety of programs for groups of all ages.

Hourly guided tours
are offered every hour on the hour during museum hours and the last tour begins at 4 pm daily. Guided tours last about 50 minutes and provide the knowledge and insight of a professional trained tour guide. This tour option is great for groups of all sizes who want a structure tour with detailed information. No reservations are needed for hourly guided tours.
We welcome all ages to the museum. Guided tours are a perfect option for youth groups, civic clubs and other organizations. Any group with more than 10 individuals must make a reservation for a guided tour. These tours last about 50 minutes and are led by one of the Old State House Museum’s highly trained tour guides. Reservations are required. Self-guided groups with less than 10 participants may tour the museum on their own or take an hourly guided tour.
