Family Fun

The Old State House Museum offers a lot of programming for families. Throughout the year, the Museum hosts a series of events that all members of the family can enjoy together.

Big BOO!-seum Bash

Where will you find the best-dressed wizards, monsters, and fairy princesses?

What about the scariest vampires and the silliest jack-o-lanterns?

Follow the screams (of delight) to the Old State House Museum for goodies and more! Each year, the Old State House participates with other members of the Greater Little Rock Museum Consortium to offer this safe alternative for trick-or-treaters. Fun for families, youth organizations, and even school groups, these "ghoulish" activities vary from year to year, but always include games, crafts, and the tastiest candies and goodies. The Big Boo!seum Bash haunts the Old State House Museum on Halloween each year. Check our Calendar for the gory details.

Holiday Open House

The annual "Hanging of the Greens" marks the opening of the holiday season at the Old State House Museum. Join us each year during Holiday Open House to celebrate the Yuletide festivities with caroling, cookies, decorations, and more! Friendly elves will help the young ones (and those young at heart) create ornaments and paper snowflakes, design cards, or string-a-bead bracelets. Enjoy the spirit of giving amid beautiful greenery and red-ribboned wreaths. Holiday Open House is traditionally held the first Sunday in December. Check our Calendar for details.
