Exhibit Openings

The Old State House Museum has three galleries devoted to changing exhibits. We usually have a new exhibit opening each spring and each fall.

The Education Department organizes an event to celebrate the opening of the new exhibits. Usually held on a Saturday, the events have included living history characters, special guided tours, reenactments of camp meetings or political discussions and refreshments.

Our support group, the Old State House Museum Associates, hosts a preview reception for most of our exhibit opening that includes a reception and speech by the Guest Curator.
