Location & Directions:
The museum is located at 300 West Markham, situated between the DoubleTree and Peabody Hotels.
From I-630, take the Center Street exit (this is a one-way street
going north) and go north on Center. Center Street ends directly in
front of the Old State House Museum.
From I-30 (toward downtown Little Rock), take the Markham/2nd Street
exit and go straight on 2nd Street until you reach Center Street, then
turn right. Center ends directly in front of the Old State House Museum.
Parking :
Ample parking is available on weekends. One-hour and 30-minute parking
spots are available on the streets near the museum on weekdays. Visitors
who park in the neighboring Double Tree Hotel parking garage will
receive the first hour free. Be sure to present your ticket at the
Information Desk inside the museum so it can be validated. Better still,
park in one of the River Market lots and ride the trolley. The trolley
stops just across the street from the museum (click here for trolley map).
Handicapped Accessibility:
The Old State House Museum is handicapped accessible. The wheelchair
ramp is located to the right of the front entrance on the West Loggia.
Once inside the building, the elevator is located in the museum's East
Wing. Wheelchair lifts are located in the East Wing Gallery and the
Governor of Arkansas Gallery on the Second Floor. Both restrooms
accommodate wheelchairs and all exhibit videos are captioned. Special
tours for the blind are available upon request.
