New Offerings in Store

New items are available in the Museum Store. The University of Arkansas Press recently published, Sam Dellinger: Raiders of the Lost Arkansas by Robert Mainfort, Jr. This book is based on the Old State House Museum’s 2006 exhibit and includes beautiful color-plates of many artifacts from the state’s prehistory. The historic façade of the Old State House is gracefully portrayed, embossed on blank notecard sets and through photo art miniatures by Mike Anderson.

The Crossett Experiment to eradicate malaria was conducted by Arkansas’s medical school when it was housed at the Old State House in the early 20th century. The museum partnered with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, adapting their collection of mosquito illustrations by Henry Thibault, M.D. for a new t-shirt.

The new exhibit Bandits, Badges and Bars stocked the store with related items, including the book The Big Hat Law: Arkansas and Its State Police, 1935-2000 by Michael Lindsey. Children’s items like toy handcuffs, crime-scene tape and spyware are also available. Shop the Museum Store and take a part of Arkansas history home.
