John Selden Roane
Attorney John Selden Roane
served two terms in the
Arkansas State Legislature
and was elected Speaker of
the House during his second
term. He raised the company
known as the Van Buren
Avengers. Roane went on to
serve one two-year term as
governor of Arkansas from
1849-1852. |
