Keep the Home Fires Burning: Arkansas and WWI

The Arkansas World War I Centennial Commemoration Committee and the Old State House Museum will host a seminar on Arkansas during World War I from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, at the museum at 300 West Markham Street in Little Rock.

The free seminar, “Keep the Home Fires Burning: Arkansas and World War I,” will feature lectures by Dr. Shawn Fisher, Elizabeth Hill, Dr. Carl Drexler and Dr. Cherisse Jones Branch on topics including the war on the home front, wartime manufacturing and the experience of African American Arkansans during the war.
