Mifflin Wistar Gibbs was a Little Rock businessman, politician and the first elected African American municipal judge in the United States.

Latonya Wilson serves as a program assistant at the Old State House Museum. She is a native of Arkansas, having spent her childhood in both Marianna and Little Rock. Prior to joining the staff at the Old State House Museum, Latonya pursued a PhD at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she researched comparative movements in modernity amongst African American and South African cultures. She is an alumna of Hendrix College, Wheaton College and the Clinton School of Public Service with distinct interests in philanthropy, intercultural studies and social justice. In her free time, Latonya enjoys following politics, traveling, spending time with her 5-year-old niece and volunteering.
