Arkansas Heritage Month is celebrated every year in May. The Old State House Museum's parent agency, the Department of Arkansas Heritage, selects a theme each year that highlights a significant and timely aspect of our state's natural or cultural history. A tradition begun in 1982, historical and cultural organizations throughout the state create and promote opportunities for people to learn more about what makes Arkansas such a unique and fascinating place.
