Wife of David Hampton Pryor, 39th Governor (1975-1979)

Barbara Pryor wore an emerald green, floor-length gown of silk chiffon with shoes dyed to match to the inaugural ball. The shirred bodice features a deep V-neck in both the front and back. The bishop sleeves are sheer and cuffed at the wrist. The full skirt is gathered in a waistline that is higher in the front and lower in the back. A green satin ribbon tied in a bow accents the waist. The dress, designed by the House of Richilene in New York, gives a bell-shaped silhouette.
