Wife of Junius Marion Futrell, 30th Governor (1933-1937)

Mrs. Futrell's inaugural gown came from Goldsmith's in Memphis, Tennessee. She wore a floor-length, purple velvet gown with a tubular silhouette. The bodice features a ruffled velvet collar, a yoke of purple lace, an empire waist and a keyhole opening in the back. The wrist-length sleeves are made of lace with velvet cuffs.
