Born: 1862
Died: July 28, 1947

Louvenia Wallace moved to Arkansas at the age of seventeen. She met her future husband in Conway, Arkansas, while visiting relatives. They married four years later on September 20, 1883. Twenty-six years later she attended his inaugural ceremony.

Together the Donagheys were concerned with the availability of higher education for the youth of Arkansas. Mrs. Donaghey and her husband founded the Donaghey Foundation to benefit what is now the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Governor and Mrs. Donaghey had no children of their own but did open their home to children in the family. She is remembered as a supportive and loving wife who stated, "My highest aim in life was to do what I could for his comfort and to assist and encourage him in every way I could."
