Watch This: First Ladies of Arkansas Support Museum

Old State House Museum - Friday, August 21, 2015

First Lady Susan Hutchinson, along with several former first ladies of the state of Arkansas, announced the kickoff of a campaign to raise money to preserve the Old State House’s historic collection of first ladies’ gowns.

Mrs. Hutchinson was joined by Ginger Beebe, Janet Huckabee, Betty Tucker, Gay White and Barbara Pryor, along with Old State House director Bill Gatewood, and museum curator Jo Ellen Maack to discuss the challenge of saving the gowns.

Earlier this month we noted the partnership between the First Ladies and the Old State House Museum. Here’s the video of the first press conference. The Old State House Museum has always had a great working relationship with the First Families of Arkansas, and it's exciting to see these women rally for the cause of Arkansas history.
